We know first hand how these fires have ruined a cherished way of life in Northern New
Mexico. We want to change how the United States Forest Service does business in
New Mexico.
The Law Firm of Roybal-Mack is committed to helping those affected by the recent New
Mexico forest fires. We understand the devastation that this event has caused, and we
are here to help you get the compensation you deserve. Contact us today for a free
consultation. We will fight for you.
Reasons for Compensation claims include:
Mora, San Miguel and Pecos residents who have been damaged by the recent wildfires
filed a lawsuit alleging the U.S. Forest Service failed to provide adequate information
about the blaze. The suit, filed in federal court in Albuquerque, names as defendants
the Forest Service and its regional office in Albuquerque.
The Hermits Peak Fire and Calf Canyon Fires, were started by the United States Forest
Service when prescribed burns got out of control. The Forest Service started the burns
using old information, not accounting for current drought conditions or weather in the
area. That weather created uncontrollable wind that led to over 300,000 acres of New
Mexico’s pristine forests being burned.
